What does empowerment mean to you as a woman in printing?
Empowerment for women in the print industry signifies having both a voice and a presence at the decision-making table. Upon my entry into this field, I encountered numerous challenges, particularly when engaging with vendors. I often faced condescending remarks and, at times, was disregarded altogether. If I could offer any guidance, it would be to recognize your value, thoroughly prepare, and most importantly, assert your voice.
Can you share a moment in your career when you felt truly empowered?
What resources or programs have helped you grow in your career that you would recommend to young women?
Join as many industry organizations as possible and actively participate in any forums or message boards they offer. Follow leaders and experts in the print industry on LinkedIn to stay informed and engaged. When you encounter posts from women in the industry, share and amplify their voices to help provide them with a platform. Numerous free resources are available to those committed to investing the time and effort to discover them. Always recognize your value and never hesitate to speak up and share your perspective.
