What does empowerment mean to you as a woman in printing?
Empowerment means having the confidence, knowledge, and support to drive change & innovation, lead with impact, and challenge the status quo. It’s about breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field and inspiring the next generation of women to thrive in print technology and business.
Can you share a moment in your career when you felt truly empowered?
A moment when I felt truly empowered was when I rejoined EFI as a General Manager in the software division, now eProductivity Software. I was given the space and support to grow a market segment by defining the investment strategy and go-to-market. I was encouraged to try new approaches and take on challenges I had never faced before.
What resources or programs have helped you grow in your career that you would recommend to young women?
Like many other amazing women have already shared, find a mentor or two or three! Find people who do things you want to do or carry themselves the way you aspire to. Ask them about their background, their story, and their advice. Soak it all in. And never stop learning in whatever way works for you – take a class, ask to job shadow, do eLearning. Be curious.
