The position you are seeking / Location: I am seeking a Print Buyer/Procurement or Print Project Coordinator. I want to match projects with a trusted pool of vendors, obtain quotes, determine the best vendor, manage production times, and confirm delivery by the desired date. I live in Indiana, in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area.
What does empowerment mean to you as a woman in printing?
Knowing it!! Then, learning what you don’t know so that you are always adding to your skill set.
Can you share a moment in your career when you felt truly empowered?
In my prior role, I offered to find a vendor to produce a Korbel large mass holiday display in time for Thanksgiving. It was October 18th, and it seems impossible, and the brand did not think I could do it. Well, I did. All 650+ were delivered 10 days before Thanksgiving! I loved it!!
What resources or programs have helped you grow in your career that you would recommend to young women?
I always try to continue to try to network with those who I admire and trust. They are out there and usually at your fingertips. Don’t be afraid to connect, ask or engage. We are here!!
