What does empowerment mean to you as a woman in printing?
Empowerment as a woman in printing means using my expertise as a marketing professional to challenge outdated perceptions and showcase the power of print in a digital world. It’s about leading with innovation, proving that print is not only relevant but essential in creating meaningful, tangible brand experiences. By pushing boundaries and redefining how businesses integrate print with digital strategies, I hope to inspire and uplift other women in the industry, showing them that their voices and ideas are vital to its future.
Can you share a moment in your career when you felt truly empowered?
I felt truly empowered when I took the lead in entering one of our strategic kit initiatives into the Graphics Excellence Awards – and we won. It was incredibly rewarding to see our work showcased and recognized, but even more meaningful knowing that I was also elevating the talented woman graphic designer who played a key role in bringing the project to life. Celebrating that win together reinforced the power of collaboration and the importance of lifting other women in the industry.
What resources or programs have helped you grow in your career that you would recommend to young women?
Networking groups and industry organizations, like Printing United Alliance and Women in Print initiatives, have been invaluable in my growth by providing mentorship, education, and connections with other professionals. I also highly recommend seeking out leadership and marketing development programs, as well as staying engaged with trends through industry conferences and webinars. Most importantly, finding a strong support system—whether through colleagues, mentors, or online communities – can make all the difference in building confidence and advancing in the print and marketing world.
