What does empowerment mean to you as a woman in printing?

Empowerment as a woman in the printing industry means embracing the challenges of new technology, helping others learn about our industry, and being excited about new opportunities. Encouraging and supporting others to grow, be creative, and embrace change. Sharing ideas and working with other women in the industry.

Can you share a moment in your career when you felt truly empowered?

Sharing my knowledge and years of experience with someone who, in return, is grateful and shares with others what they have learned or experienced. In an ever-changing industry, institutional knowledge is something to be shared with others.

What resources or programs have helped you grow in your career that you would recommend to young women?

Embrace learning and research up-and-coming technology by attending conferences and open houses sponsored by vendors. IPMA, ACUP, Visual Media Alliance, and Printing United Expo offer great informational seminars. Plus, don’t forget Girls Who Print! Follow as many women as you can and network!
