Please share advice for young women considering or starting a career in print… Which includes design, sales, marketing and all jobs within.
Print is ESSENTIAL…and it is such a powerful industry that I have been blessed to be a part of since 1991. I have been involved in the sales of printing solutions to the commercial print / graphics industry and along the way helped solve business challenges, streamlined production and enabled my customers obtain new revenue streams in keeping print relevant for the end customer.
It has evolved to become more automated, support digital and metacommunication requirements and continues to become dynamic and more and more relevant. All of us use print and we will continue to interact with print on a daily basis. Most people don’t think about the manufacturing process behind the design on the tissue box, the bumper sticker they read driving down the road, the 20% sign hanging in their favorite store, their custom Christmas card, and the endless items they touch and read each day.
The power of Print can inspire action, generate healthy relationships, sustain our earth’s resources, and provide a clear channel for communication. Being a part of this industry in any aspect is exciting and impactful. If you have a passion, you can apply it in the print industry and I encourage you to do so.
