What do you do?
I am what I call a ‘Print Designer.’ A Graphic Designer and a Print Production Specialist bundled up into one package. I’ve been at TEAM Concept Printing for about 3 years now. I am seeking to continue my career growth here and I am provided so many opportunities to achieve that.
What investments have you made in your professional career development?
Incorporating more graphic design into my workload and then making those jobs come to life with the various printers and machines I have at my fingertips. I’ve been able to create a job from start to finish 100% on my own. So investing more time in design has upped my career game.
What investments have you made in your personal development?
I have a friend who’s an attorney. (Shout out to Amanda Decker!) She’s been pulling my arm to do more marketing. As a result, I have created many business relationships, met other artistic colleagues, and made new personal friendships. Getting myself out there has been a large personal development.
How can the industry proactively invest in women, and why should this be a priority?
With the print industry being male-dominated, just allowing a woman to show what she’s got is what the industry should invest in. “Anything you can do, I can do to” mentality. We are just as strong and capable. Give a woman a chance to knock it out of the park for your business. You won’t regret it.
