What do you do?
As a Graphic Designer, I have had the opportunity to supervise a School District Printshop for 19.5 years. The District moved the Print Shop into an alternative high school in the fall of 2010. I had the fortune to teach advertising and design courses and my students were able to get hands-on experience in the Print Shop by interviewing customers, designing for the audience, printing, and finishing. From conception to completion. Afterward, I was a Graphic Design Manager for the largest print shop in Wyoming from 2019-2021.
I married and relocated to Minnesota in July 2021. While I have learned so much in the last 21 years in InPrint in Wyoming, I am looking forward to the amazing opportunities in Minnesota. I am currently working as a Print Production Spec. in Customer Service for a large Commercial Plant.
PASSION I have a passion for all things creative. I especially love teaching what I learn. I would like to teach adults how to reach their potential by exhibiting their passions.
EDUCATION I would like to achieve a Master’s degree in Learning and Development. I believe everyone’s journey can be mapped through training and educational opportunities. My dad always said that “Learning is Lifelong.” I love his passion for helping Adult Learners.
DESTINATION I hope to excel within the field of Graphic Arts and Print Production by teaching, learning, and developing. I have every intention of obtaining more knowledge and increasing my value as an asset. For me to try and pinpoint my destination would be inconceivable. I want to go all the way. I have no fear that my performance will lead the way.

What investments have you made in your personal development?
One of the best ways to develop your passions is to volunteer. I have volunteered for the Lord’s Storehouse, Feed my Starving Children and for my church as a Sunday School Teacher, a Communications Specialist (Social Media, Advertising, Weekly Bulletins, etc.) and a History Specialist. I have also volunteered for the Brats, Bluegrass & Beer Festival, Celi at the Roundhouse and the Sagebrush Theatre (Social Media, Advertising, Playbills, Website, Fundraising,etc.).
I have belonged to groups such as IPMA, CTE, WACTE, PIM, ISTE, ACUP, GSA (Gay Straight Alliance), DEI, LGBTQ Mama Dragons and others. Participated by attending conferences and online webinars.
How can the industry proactively invest in women, and why should this be a priority?
Every woman plays a critical role in the success of the company. When identifying roles and responsibilities is packaged with creating benchmarks and training content, excellence will be delivered. Creating career path development and succession plans will develop leadership and other soft skills that can be leveraged in the growing role of each woman. This journey is a look forward to ongoing contributions as we work together to build a stronger sense of community. Employees who feel valued at work are often happier, more productive and less likely to look for other employment opportunities. There are many ways to show employees how much you value them—from recognition programs to funding their development so their passions can shine. Each employee should be treated just as well as your best customer.
