What do you do?
I am responsible for Sales and Marketing learning and development, both for B2B and B2C, in EMEA region.
What investments have you made in your professional career development?
I changed job and resigned from a company quite early in my career because I could feel it would not fulfil my needs.
A few years later, I moved to another country for a better opportunity in my company that could potentially expand my future career opportunities.I have taken every opportunity I had to develop my career, expanding my external and internal network, attending management and leadership programs, demonstrating my value, and be mentored and coached.
What investments have you made in your personal development?
If you want to grow and develop yourself, you have to create opportunities and take risks.
Big decisions can have a big impact. My boldest decision was to move country 17 years ago because I thought it would help me developing myself at all levels. And it certainly did!
Now, on a personal note, I spend time on self reflection, get as much feedback and input from people around me so I can grow in the direction I want.
How can the industry proactively invest in women, and why should this be a priority?
I strongly believe in my holy trinity: Role models, Coaching, Mentoring
Promoting our industry among women, as early as possible (school), is absolutely key.
Showing through role models and career stories that anything is possible if you want it.
Coaching and/or mentoring is important at different stages of your career.
