What do you do?

I work with agencies, graphic designers, freelancers & smaller print studios to discover solutions for their print projects, whether it’s for their brand identity stationary, a once-off book, creative projects, or signage, I am here to help! My specialty is developing relationships, starting new ones, and promoting our business to create awareness of our brands and inspire change. I have studied Graphic Design and Management, and have experience working in many roles including hospitality and health, when I came across an opportunity to work at a commercial offset/digital printer I decided to pivot my direction and take on a new challenge. I learned about all things print and enjoyed building on my client relationships which has led me to my current role.

What investments have you made in your professional career development?

I am currently taking an LMA (Leadership Management Australia) course to build on my Business Sales Skills. Previously I have studied at Uni SA, Bachelor of Visual Communications and a Masters of Management. I always seek advise from leaders in my workplace (self-appointed mentors) to guide me in decision-making and improving in my work.

How can the industry proactively invest in women, and why should this be a priority?

Give women access to educational or mentoring programs to learn how to negotiate in their work. I believe more women struggle than men to negotiate things like pay, flexible work hours, social networking opportunities, or responsibilities within their roles. Assisting how to teach better methods to negotiate will help with closing the pay gap, and giving women the confidence to ask for what they need.
