How do you help customers and partners succeed with their print and marketing endeavors?

Working for a yearbook company is incredibly special for me because I believe in the power of yearbooks so much. Yearbooks are the legacy that students leave behind, and teenagers are transformed from students into journalists who document, record, preserve, and immortalize a year and the students who defined it. Empowering students to be able to do that fulfills me and gives me confidence that the future is in good hands with these students. They are so talented! While my role is in marketing so schools can successfully market their yearbook, through the publications and resources I focus my work on, I hope to educate, inspire and embolden teachers and students to create an exceptional yearbook that tells the stories of a year they will never forget.

What ONE word describes your professional mission for 2023 – and why?

My word would have to be imagine. I am personally fueled and energized by creating things, and the heart of creation is imagination. You can’t create something amazing until you can dream it and imagine it. I think so many of us have felt suffocated at times by the pandemic over the past few years, stuck in survival mode and fatigued by the uncertainty of the future. Imagination removes us from that reality and helps us find the solutions to move forward. Imagination helps us to relate to people who have different life experiences and connects us together. Imagination allows us to support other women to become the best version of themselves as we imagine a society where women are respected as true equals and lead capably without having to fight just to be taken seriously. Imagination gives hope, inspires, motivates – it allows me to imagine who I want to be, not just who I feel l am in the moment – so I can become that woman and hopefully find a few other like-minded women on that same journey to success. Imagination lets me dream about the world I want my daughter to grow up in and become a part of where she can fearlessly chase her dreams without the same barriers of generations past. So this year, I want to imagine, and I hope I’m not the only one.
