What do you do?

I have the most fun job in the paper industry, where I collaborate with end-user companies, advertising agencies, and creative design firms. Together, we choose the best printable substrates to bring their projects to life.

As a member of Millcraft’s National Accounts Team, I go beyond substrate selection. We work closely with companies to create tailored paper programs that meet their print marketing needs.

My career has been driven by a passion for print, design, and typography. At Millcraft, I’ve found the perfect blend of these interests, helping clients achieve their visions through the power of paper and print!

What investments have you made in your professional career development?

It’s important to invest in yourself!  I make it a point to read trade publications and attend webinars, seminars, and events to stay current on trends and technologies in the print space.

I look for like-minded industry professionals to collaborate with and share ideas and best practices.

Continuing to learn is continuing to grow.

What investments have you made in your personal development?

On a personal note: I have a goal to be healthier and stronger. I am investing in all things that go towards this goal, from personal training, and nutrition coaching to brain-boosting exercises.

Managing stress is key for women who have a lot on their plates both at home and in the workplace.

I make time to enjoy music, art, and growing my penpal group.

With a stationery collection like mine, you need an outlet for sending beautiful things.

This year my motto has been: Seize the Day

I save things; sometimes, a unique candle from a friend that I refuse to light, a special outfit from an expensive boutique in hopes of a special occasion, or that last bottle of wine from my Napa trip three years ago. WHY? What am I waiting for? Life catches up with you. Make your own special occasions, light that candle, wear the dress, drink that wine! SEIZE THE DAY! I’m opening that high-end notebook with the stitched binding and using that fancy fountain pen; it’s time.

How can the industry proactively invest in women, and why should this be a priority?

The print industry can invest in women by actively promoting gender diversity in its workforce through mentorship programs, leadership development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements. Additionally, investing in educational and training programs targeted at women interested in pursuing careers in print can help create a more inclusive industry.

The print industry needs to invest in women for several reasons. Firstly, gender diversity fosters innovation and creativity by bringing different perspectives and experiences to the table. Secondly, it helps address gender inequality in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunities for women to advance and succeed in their careers. Lastly, supporting women in the print industry can lead to greater economic empowerment and contribute to overall industry growth and sustainability.
