Please share advice for young women considering or starting a career in print… Which includes design, sales, marketing, and all jobs within.

My biggest piece of advice is to be a sponge. Soak up knowledge anywhere you can get it. If you’re going into a print shop with no experience – take a couple of weeks to rotate through the shop working with each individual there.

This not only will help you to better understand how your job impacts everyone within your organization, but also helps you to build relationships with your team. Hands down the most valuable time spent!

How have mentors helped your personal and career development?

This goes hand in hand with being a sponge. Having a mentor and someone you can tap into when you are struggling with any given task is so invaluable. Even if only as a sounding board, I’ve found that having a mentor has really helped me to step back and look at things from a different perspective.

I would definitely not be where I am today without leaning into the knowledge of those who have come before me. All my mentors have made me a stronger team member, leader, salesperson, creative, and overall human.
